If There Is Any Illegal Occupation of Mufti Mahmood Centre’s Land, the Matter Will Be Brought Forward: Tariq Fazal Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD (Daily Qudrat): Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has said that if there is any illegal occupation of Mufti Mahmood Centre’s land, the matter will be brought forward. This will not be any retaliatory action, and the government has no intention of dismantling JUI.

Speaking on a private TV programme, he said that the uniformed police soldier standing at the Chowk is also a representative of the state, and that is the state. The state is a mother and it has to ensure the protection of its children. A state like Libya was destroyed because its army was weak; the condition of Iraq and Syria is also before everyone.

Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that, thank God, despite external conspiracies and terrorism, our army and state are strong.

The forces and security institutions should not be targeted for political purposes and to pull each other down.

Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that it was Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s responsibility to respond to the allegations levelled against his ministry and the state. On 11 October, the cabinet meeting was stopped and Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s final response was awaited. The previous Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government was not ready to cooperate against terrorism; the refusal came from their side. Only after talks with Maulana Fazlur Rehman did not move forward did the cabinet decide on Governor’s Rule and emergency.

Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh’s statement regarding not taking the cabinet into confidence is completely contrary to the facts. In 10 to 12 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, politicians of various parties, including PTI, kept going to homes by paying extortion. Political parties wanted an end to this PTI government that was not cooperating with security institutions. The government has no intention of dismantling JUI; only administrative measures were taken against PTI as well.

Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that if there is any illegal occupation of Mufti Mahmood Centre’s land, the matter will be brought forward; this will not be any retaliatory action. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif proved the supremacy of law by presenting his own son-in-law at the police station himself when an FIR was registered against him.
