Islamabad High Court Grants Relief to Naanbai Association Over Price Control Notification

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has restrained the district administration from taking punitive action against naanbais in connection with the official notification fixing the prices of roti and naan.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir issued a written order, directing the Deputy Commissioner to hold a meeting with the Naanbai Association on September 30.
Appearing on behalf of the petitioners, Barrister Umar Ijaz Gilani argued that the devastating floods had caused a surge in wheat and flour prices, but the Deputy Commissioner had refused to address their concerns.
The court has adjourned further hearing of the case until October 1.
