Gas Pressure Absent in Various Areas of Quetta; Citizens Face Severe Difficulties in Cold Weather

QUETTA (Daily Qudrat Quetta): Due to the absence of gas pressure in Quetta city and surrounding areas, citizens are facing severe difficulties in the cold. Gas pressure has become almost non-existent in Jail Road, Huddah and adjacent areas, due to which domestic consumers are facing problems in carrying out daily tasks.

Criticising the gas company’s performance, citizens said that officers drawing salaries of millions have confined themselves to offices instead of solving citizens’ problems. They said that on one hand gas supply to homes is affected, while on the other consumers are being sent heavy bills.

Citizens complained that due to the drop in gas pressure, it has become difficult to meet household needs, including cooking, while effective measures to resolve the issue are not visible from the relevant authorities.

The statement also criticised the provincial government’s performance, saying that an effective role is not being played at the government level to resolve the difficulties faced by citizens. Citizens demanded that the relevant authorities and the judiciary take notice of the restoration of gas pressure, heavy bills and the problems faced by consumers, and take action against those responsible.
