Immediate Implementation of Modern Reforms and Digitalisation in Metropolitan Corporation Quetta: Important Meeting Chaired by Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan

QUETTA (Daily Qudrat Quetta): An important meeting regarding the affairs of Metropolitan Corporation Quetta was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, in which a comprehensive reform plan was reviewed to further improve the institution’s performance, promote transparency and put public services on modern lines. The meeting was given a detailed briefing on the corporation’s administrative and financial affairs, the existing system and future strategy.

In the meeting, the Chief Secretary directed the immediate implementation of a digitalisation system through modern technology in Metropolitan Corporation Quetta, the provision of internet facilities in all offices and the implementation of an e-filing system. He said that the effective use of modern technology can bring ease, speed and transparency to government affairs.

He directed the implementation of a biometric and facial recognition system in the corporation and said that attendance and performance monitoring should be made reliable so that the best use of the institution’s resources is ensured. He also directed improvement in the system for approving building plans.

The meeting reiterated that Metropolitan Corporation Quetta will be strengthened as an active, transparent and people-friendly institution so that timely and quality services can be provided to citizens. The Chief Secretary directed the relevant authorities to practically monitor the reform measures and submit regular progress reports.
