Talks Between Ziarat Tragedy Victims’ Families and Balochistan Government Fail Again as Protest Continues

Quetta: Negotiations between the families of police personnel martyred in the Ziarat tragedy, the All Parties Sit-in Committee, and the Balochistan government have once again ended without a breakthrough, leaving the deadlock unresolved.

Following the unsuccessful talks, the sit-in committee and the families of the fallen officers announced that their protest would continue until their demands are accepted.

The sit-in at Kohla Phatak has now entered its sixth day, with large numbers of supporters, including representatives of political parties, lawyers, tribal elders, civil society organizations, and local residents, joining the protest to express solidarity with the victims’ families.

Protesters said they would not end the demonstration until justice is served and their demands are met.

Meanwhile, Quetta Police have deployed heavy security around the protest site and surrounding areas. Additional personnel have been stationed, while authorities continue to monitor entry and exit routes to maintain law and order.

According to sources, government representatives and the protest committee held discussions on various issues, but the talks concluded without an agreement due to differences over the protesters’ demands.

The sit-in committee warned that if the government fails to accept their demands, it will expand its protest campaign and implement a broader course of action in the coming days.
