FIA Immigration System Restored After One-Hour Outage at Airports Across Pakistan

KARACHI: The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) immigration system at airports across Pakistan was restored after remaining suspended for approximately one hour, temporarily disrupting passenger immigration procedures and affecting international flight departures.

The system had gone down simultaneously at airports across the country, including Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, according to airport officials.

The outage temporarily halted immigration processing, leaving long queues of passengers at FIA counters. The disruption also affected the departure of international flights.

Airport officials said the system was gradually restored after remaining suspended for around an hour.

However, FIA officials did not disclose the reasons behind the system failure despite being contacted for comment.

According to sources, a similar outage had occurred at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport approximately two weeks earlier.
