ISLAMABAD (Daily Qudrat): PTI Member of Parliament Sher Afzal Marwat has said that what is happening in this country in the name of democracy and law is a moment for reflection.
Speaking to the media, he said: is the imposition of Governor’s Rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa what the rule of law and democracy look like? The supremacy of law means protecting the rights of the people, not suppressing their voice.
Sher Afzal Marwat said that claims were being made of bringing out 40 to 45 lakh people, but unfortunately the failure of the long march has landed even their own government in difficulties. What kind of politics is this that could neither demonstrate public power nor establish political pressure? The government comes to the negotiating table only when public power is fully demonstrated.
