Professor Dr Ayesha Siddiqa Represents Pakistan at AOFOG Asia-Oceania Congress 2026 in Sydney

QUETTA: Professor Dr Ayesha Siddiqa, a distinguished medical professional from Balochistan, represented Pakistan, the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Pakistan (SOGP), and the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) at the AOFOG Asia-Oceania Congress 2026, held in Sydney, Australia.
During the congress’s scientific sessions, Dr Siddiqa participated in discussions on family planning, contraceptive methods, reducing maternal mortality, improving the quality of healthcare services and promoting safe motherhood.
She also delivered a briefing on healthcare reforms undertaken by the Government of Balochistan, which was appreciated by participants.
Dr Siddiqa further participated in the AOFOG Council meeting and electoral process, reaffirming her commitment to advancing women’s health and strengthening Pakistan’s representation at international medical forums.
Her participation highlighted the importance of international collaboration, improved maternal healthcare and continued efforts to enhance women’s health services in Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan.
