Opposition Leader Umar Ayub Leads Convoy from Haripur to Islamabad for Protest
Haripur: A convoy led by Opposition Leader Umar Ayub Khan has departed from Haripur towards Islamabad to participate in a protest organized by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Speaking to the media during the departure, Ayub stated that the success of their call was evident in the government’s actions, which have effectively isolated Islamabad and Rawalpindi from the rest of the country by blocking major highways under the pretext of maintenance work on the motorway.
Umar Ayub emphasized that the protest would continue until the release of PTI’s founder, Imran Khan. He congratulated the people of Haripur and Hazara for their overwhelming participation, describing the public’s enthusiasm as a strong stand against the federal government’s “fascism.”
Ayub further mentioned that convoys from Haripur and Abbottabad were joining forces, with Ali Amin Gandapur also on his way from Peshawar to join the protest in Islamabad.
