Not Standing With the State Against Terrorism Is Unacceptable; 10 Districts in KP Have Become No-Go Areas: Zahoor Buledi and Saleem Khosa

Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta) — A session of the Balochistan Provincial Assembly is ongoing, during which, amid discussion on the latest situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, provincial ministers defended the federation’s action. Provincial Minister Zahoor Buledi, expressing his views in the House, said that if there is unrest and an unsatisfactory situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa today, should the federal government sit with its eyes closed? He said that if a government or political force cannot stand with its state against terrorism, then this act is by no means tolerable for the state. In such circumstances, emergency will be imposed and the state will exercise its constitutional right. Addressing the opposition, he said that although you have every right to protest and you should protest in the House, efforts should not be made to sabotage the situation.
Speaking during the session, Saleem Ahmed Khosa said that the federation made great efforts to improve the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but the attitude of the KP government and its leadership was not right at all. He revealed that 10 districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have currently become no-go areas where state authority is being challenged. Saleem Khosa clarified that the Balochistan government stands firmly with the state and the federation. Terming the decision of emergency and governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as an excellent and positive step, he said that apart from this, the federal government had no other option left to control the situation.
