Chief Minister’s Statement on Assembly Floor Regarding Nasrullah Khan Zira Is Contrary to Facts; Only Voice Message Sent to CM and Chief Secretary Was Presented Before Judicial Commission: Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party

Quetta (Qudrat Daily): In a clarification statement issued by the provincial secretariat of the Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party (PKNAP), it has been said that the Chief Minister’s statement on the floor of the provincial assembly yesterday regarding the party’s provincial president, Nasrullah Khan Zira—that he had presented mutual conversation with the Chief Minister before the High Court—is contrary to facts and a misinterpretation of the actual matter.
The statement clarified that the party’s provincial president, Nasrullah Khan Zira, had presented before the Judicial Commission constituted regarding the Ziarat tragedy only that voice message which he had sent to the Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary at 7:36 PM on July 6. In that voice message, in the context of the Ziarat tragedy, the Chief Minister’s attention was drawn toward the situation faced by police personnel during the terrorist incident, and a demand was made for timely and necessary action by the relevant authorities.
According to the statement, Nasrullah Khan Zira neither recorded the Chief Minister’s voice and presented it in court nor placed any mutual conversation with the Chief Minister before the Judicial Commission. The record of the Judicial Commission also confirms that only the voice message sent by Nasrullah Khan Zira to the Chief Minister and Chief Secretary was presented before the Commission. Therefore, interpreting this act as presenting the Chief Minister’s private conversation or mutual dialogue in court is not correct.
The statement further said that the Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party is not in favor of unnecessarily bringing anyone’s private conversation or mutual dialogue into the public eye and considers it contrary to ethical principles. However, the purpose of presenting the voice message sent to the relevant authorities regarding a sensitive and serious incident like the Ziarat tragedy before the Judicial Commission was not to reveal anyone’s private conversation, but to bring the facts related to the incident on record, draw the attention of the relevant authorities, and highlight the need for necessary measures to protect the lives and safety of police personnel.
The statement said that the manner in which the Chief Minister presented this matter on the floor of the provincial assembly does not correspond with the actual facts and available record. While discussing incidents of a sensitive nature, responsible public officeholders should base their remarks on facts, authentic record, and the actual background of the incident rather than speaking on the basis of personal impression or incomplete information.
The Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party has emphasized that an important matter like the Ziarat tragedy should be viewed with facts and responsibility rather than political rhetoric, so that no ambiguity arises in determining the actual incident, its motives, and the responsibilities of the relevant authorities.
