ANP Challenges Mines and Minerals Act in Balochistan High Court

Quetta: The Provincial President of the Awami National Party, Asghar Khan Achakzai, has challenged the Mines and Minerals Act in the Balochistan High Court. The petition was filed through lawyers affiliated with the National Lawyers Forum.
The petition states that the Mines and Minerals Act deprives the people of Balochistan of their rightful control over natural resources. It also highlights the violation of constitutional principles of provincial autonomy. Furthermore, the petition argues that this law is stripping the people of Balochistan of their legitimate rights.
