Sohail Afridi Challenges Federal Government to Impose Governor’s Rule or Emergency in KP

PESHAWAR:Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has challenged the federal government to “show courage” and impose governor’s rule or declare an emergency in the province.

Afridi made the remarks before reports emerged that approval had been granted for the imposition of governor’s rule or an emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In a post on social media platform X, the chief minister said the federal government had no option but to accept the provincial government’s demands.

His statement comes amid heightened political tensions between the federal government and the PTI-led provincial administration over the province’s security situation and the possibility of constitutional measures.
