PTA Announces Major Facilitation for Overseas Pakistanis to Maintain Mobile Connectivity

Islamabad: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced a significant decision to benefit overseas Pakistanis, ensuring they can maintain uninterrupted access to essential communication services while living abroad.
According to Express News, under the new decision, Pakistani citizens residing abroad will be able to continue using their mobile phone services without the risk of their SIM cards being blocked during their stay outside the country.
The PTA stated that this initiative aims to provide convenience to overseas Pakistanis, allowing them to retain ownership and use of their Pakistani mobile numbers. To avail of this facility, overseas Pakistanis can contact their respective mobile service providers.
This step will ensure that overseas Pakistanis have continuous access to essential communication services, making it easier for them to stay connected with family and institutions in Pakistan.
The PTA emphasized that it is committed to empowering overseas Pakistanis and playing an active role in expanding digital connectivity at a global level.
