Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi Warns PTI and CM Sohail Afridi: “We Know How to Protect the Governor’s House, I Know How to Fix You”

Peshawar (Qudrat Daily) — Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, while issuing a warning to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, said, “We know how to protect the Governor’s House. I know how to fix you people. I do not engage in dialogue — I take practical actions.”
Addressing a news conference, he said that PTI leaders tell their workers, “If we are not there, you carry on” — asking them where they would hide. “If you have the courage, let your leaders come forward first. We know how to protect the Governor’s House, and I know how to fix you. I do not talk in dialogue — I take practical steps. I know how to deal with you people. If you attempt something like the 9th, you have not yet been able to wash away the stain of May 9.”
He further said, “Then I know how to deal with you people. You will find out who you are up against. You will then tell your generations not to do this kind of politics — do democratic politics instead.”
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said that the decision to impose Governor’s Rule or a state of emergency in the province rests with the federal government. However, if a report on the province’s situation is requested, he will send his report to the federation.
Faisal Karim Kundi said that the conditions in the province are evident to everyone, and if the federal government requests a report, he will inform them of his opinion and observations regarding the current situation. He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cannot function without the federation, but the provincial government is continuously pursuing a politics of confrontation with the federation.
The Governor said that the authority to impose emergency or Governor’s Rule lies with the federal government, and only the President and the Prime Minister can decide on this matter. He stated that if the federation believes the province’s situation is of such a nature, then it will make the decision. Faisal Karim Kundi said that, as Governor, he can summon the Chief Secretary and the Inspector General of Police whenever he wishes.
