Three Former Assembly Members Disqualified for Failing to Submit Financial Statements

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has disqualified three former assembly members from contesting any election for failing to submit their financial statements for the fiscal year 2024-25.
According to the Election Commission, those disqualified include Sahibzada Muhammad Hamid Raza, Abdul Latif and Zartaj Gul. The three former lawmakers failed to submit their financial statements within the stipulated deadline.
The ECP said the disqualification would apply to general elections, by-elections, Senate elections and local government elections.
The Election Commission clarified that the disqualification of the three former members would remain in effect until they submit their financial statements.
