Doctors, paramedics boycott services at Turbat Teaching Hospital over alleged mistreatment

TURBAT: Doctors and paramedical staff at Turbat Teaching Hospital have boycotted medical services in protest against what they described as inappropriate behaviour towards doctors, paramedics and other medical personnel, and difficulties they face in performing their professional duties.

Hospital staff also took out a protest rally as the boycott continued. They said the situation was highly alarming and unbearable.

Young Doctors Association Balochistan said it was in constant contact with doctors and medical staff at the hospital. The association made clear that there would be no compromise on the dignity, security and a respectful working environment for doctors and medical personnel.

The association demanded that the relevant authorities immediately take notice of the incident, resolve the problems faced by medical staff without delay, and ensure a safe, dignified and conducive environment for doctors and other health workers at the hospital.
