Uzma Khan Rejects Sher Afzal Marwat as PTI MNA, Questions His Credibility
ISLAMABAD: Dr Uzma Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, has refused to recognize Sher Afzal Marwat as a PTI member of the National Assembly, saying that he has no connection with them.
Speaking to the media, Uzma Khan said, “Sher Afzal Marwat is neither our MNA nor do we have any connection with him.” She questioned his credibility, saying that a person whose words have no credibility should not be given importance.
She further said that speaking on behalf of one’s father is a matter of politics, adding that it is the right and responsibility of Imran Khan’s sons to speak for their father.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has once again rejected a request by Uzma Khan to fix her contempt of court petition for an early hearing regarding the transfer of Imran Khan to a hospital.
Uzma Khan had filed the contempt petition over the alleged non-implementation of the Supreme Court’s August 18 order concerning the transfer of the former prime minister to Shifa International Hospital.
In her petition, she had requested that the case be fixed for an urgent hearing, preferably during the current or following week. The Supreme Court had, around two weeks earlier, ordered that Imran Khan be shifted to the private Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad.
Separately, Pakistan Peoples Party leader Ramesh Kumar has made a major claim that a deal has been reached with Imran Khan. He claimed that a retired personality played an important role in negotiations with the PTI founder and that after four or five meetings, a cake was also cut on August 14.
Speaking in an interview with ARY News, Ramesh Kumar claimed that the process of providing relief to Imran Khan had already begun and that its effects would become visible within the next few days.
He further claimed that a “new model” was expected to emerge in the country, with implementation likely between September 15 and November 15. According to him, all major stakeholders, including Imran Khan, were on board with the proposed system.
Ramesh Kumar warned that anyone attempting to obstruct the new model could be pushed out of the system. He also claimed that if the PML-N became an obstacle or repeated what he described as the “Shifa Hospital mistake,” a new political setup could emerge.
