FC Balochistan Seizes Smuggled Goods Worth Over Rs63 Million in Dalbandin Operation

Dalbandin: Frontier Corps Balochistan (South) has seized smuggled goods worth more than Rs63.07 million during a major anti-smuggling operation in the border district of Dalbandin, officials said.
According to FC Balochistan (South), the operation was carried out on the basis of intelligence reports. Security personnel established checkpoints and conducted searches along routes and at locations allegedly used by smugglers, leading to the recovery of a large quantity of illicit goods.
The confiscated items included imported medicines, cloth, a large quantity of diesel, electronic equipment, foreign-brand cigarettes, and other valuable merchandise that authorities said was intended to be smuggled into different parts of the country.
Officials stated that smuggling harms the national economy, legal trade, local industries, and government revenue. They added that operations against illegal cross-border trade are being intensified across border regions.
According to FC sources, the operation also yielded important information about suspected smuggling networks, which is expected to assist authorities in conducting further operations.
The recovered goods have been handed over to the relevant authorities after the completion of legal formalities, while efforts are continuing to identify and apprehend those allegedly involved in the smuggling network.
Security officials reaffirmed their commitment to continuing indiscriminate operations against smuggling, illegal cross-border movement, and criminal elements in Dalbandin, Chagai, and other border districts to safeguard national interests, strengthen the economy, and uphold the rule of law.
