Wadh Market Remains Closed for Second Consecutive Day, Raising Fears of Essential Goods Shortage

Khuzdar: The main market in Wadh, a town in Khuzdar district, remained completely closed for the second consecutive day, disrupting daily life and raising concerns over a potential shortage of essential commodities.
According to local sources, the continued market closure has affected the supply of flour, rice, sugar, cooking oil, milk, vegetables, petrol, and other daily necessities. Commercial activities have also come to a standstill, leaving many daily wage workers without income.
Residents said the ongoing situation is having the greatest impact on patients, students, women, and elderly citizens, who are facing increasing difficulties due to limited access to essential goods and services.
They warned that if the closure continues, Wadh could face a serious humanitarian and economic crisis.
Local residents have appealed to the government, district administration, and relevant authorities to reopen the market immediately, ensure an uninterrupted supply of essential commodities, and take effective measures to safeguard the lives and property of citizens so that normal life can be restored as soon as possible.
