BSO Shaal Zone Holds Working Committee Meeting, Announces Seminar on Sardar Ataullah Mengal’s Death Anniversary

Quetta:The **Baloch Students Organization (BSO) Shaal Zone** held its **Working Committee meeting** under the chairmanship of **Zonal Organizer Kabir Baloch**, where several organizational and political matters were discussed. A key decision was the organization of a **seminar in Shaal** to commemorate the **4th death anniversary of veteran Baloch nationalist leader Sardar Ataullah Mengal**, as part of BSO’s central program.
The meeting was attended by **BSO Central Secretary General Samand Baloch** as the chief guest, with **Dr. Maqbool Baloch**, Central Senior Joint Secretary, and **Atif Roudini Baloch**, member of the Central Committee, as honorary guests.
Unit officials from various educational institutions under Shaal Zone—including **University of Balochistan**, **BUITEMS**, **Degree College**, **Agriculture College**, and **Polytechnic Institute**—participated in the session.
The session began with **two minutes of silence in memory of Baloch martyrs**. Proceedings were conducted by Shahid Baloch, member of the zonal committee. Key agenda items included the **quarterly secretarial reports**, **analysis of the political situation**, **organizational strategy**, and **planning for upcoming activities**.
Each unit presented its performance reports, and the leadership reviewed the efforts made in student mobilization and political engagement.
Speakers emphasized that the **BSO is the representative organization of Baloch students**, which has historically played a leading role in advancing the **Baloch national struggle through political awareness and peaceful activism**. They acknowledged that the current political vacuum within the Baloch national movement requires strong, conscious, and organized efforts—which BSO is committed to providing through its **peaceful political struggle**.
Among the key decisions made:
* A **seminar in Shaal** will be organized to mark the **anniversary of Sardar Ataullah Mengal**.
* **Committees have been formed** to prepare for the event and ensure its success.
* The **General Body session** of Shaal Zone will be held on **August 28**.
* Full commitment was expressed towards hosting the **22nd National Council Session of BSO**, scheduled for **October** in Shaal.
Leaders remarked that hosting the national council session is a **matter of pride for Shaal Zone**, and it will bring **new momentum and innovation to the region’s political landscape**. Preparations for the event have already begun, and Shaal Zone is ready to **welcome and host delegates from all BSO zones across the country**.
