Iran to Withhold Further Talks Until MOU Commitments Are Met, Parliament Speaker Says

Tehran:Iranian Parliament Speaker **Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf** has said Iran will not participate in further negotiations until commitments outlined in a memorandum of understanding (MOU) are fully implemented.

In an interview with Iranian media, Ghalibaf said the ongoing meetings are aimed at ensuring that the promises made under the MOU are honored before any additional negotiations take place.

He also stated that a joint committee involving **Iran, the United States, and Lebanon** would be established to oversee the implementation of arrangements related to the end of the conflict in Lebanon.

Ghalibaf said Iran has exported more than **40 million barrels of oil** since the end of the maritime blockade, adding that Tehran would never compromise on what it considers its rights in the **Strait of Hormuz**.

According to the speaker, the MOU allows vessels to pass through the Strait of Hormuz without charge for a period of **60 days**. He maintained that sovereignty over the strategic waterway belongs to **Iran and Oman**, and that maritime traffic would operate under regulations determined by Iran.

He added that Iran remains in close consultation with Gulf coastal states and warned that if the United States attempts to prevent Iran from selling its oil, “no one will benefit from oil.”

Ghalibaf further claimed that Iran is now selling its oil at prices **20 percent higher** than before.
