Mohammad Amir Joins Nottinghamshire as Domestic Player for Vitality Blast

Nottingham: Experienced Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Amir has joined Nottinghamshire as a domestic player on a short-term contract for the remainder of the Vitality Blast season.
In an official statement, Nottinghamshire confirmed the signing and welcomed Amir to the squad, expressing confidence that his vast international and domestic experience would strengthen the team’s bowling attack during the competition.
The club noted that Amir will not be classified as an overseas player because he holds a British passport, allowing him to be registered as a domestic player under county cricket regulations.
Speaking after the announcement, Amir said he was delighted to join Nottinghamshire for the Vitality Blast and looked forward to representing one of England’s most historic county clubs.
“I’ve heard a lot about Nottinghamshire over the years and I’m excited to have the opportunity to play for such a prestigious club,” Amir said.
The left-arm pacer brings significant experience to the squad, having represented Pakistan in all formats of international cricket and played in major T20 leagues around the world.
Nottinghamshire will hope Amir’s pace, skill, and experience can help boost the team’s performance as it competes in the remaining matches of the Vitality Blast campaign.
