Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Condemns Truck Burnings in Rakhni, Criticizes Security Forces and Government

Quetta: The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) has strongly condemned the alleged burning of trucks worth millions of rupees in the Rakhni Rudkan area, claiming the incidents occurred in the presence of security forces.
In a provincial press release, the party expressed sorrow over the reported firing on drivers, which allegedly left several people seriously injured, and accused both banned militant groups and security institutions of carrying out “anti-Pashtun actions.”
The statement alleged that Pashtun regions including Harnai, Quetta, Dukki, Ziarat, Loralai, Barkhan, Rakhni, Musa Khel, and other districts are facing growing extortion, insecurity, and economic exploitation under the pretext of mineral and resource operations.
PkMAP further claimed that mine owners and workers are being kidnapped, vehicles are being set on fire, and drivers are being killed or injured, creating an atmosphere of fear and unrest. The party also alleged that despite receiving billions of rupees annually in the name of security, authorities have failed to prevent such incidents.
According to the statement, attacks on loaded trucks, rocket fire, and armed assaults have repeatedly taken place on highways while the administration allegedly remained a “silent spectator.”
The party claimed that similar incidents had previously occurred in Ziarat Mangi and other areas around Quetta, despite the heavy presence of FC checkpoints and security camps.
PkMAP criticized what it described as the failure of the government and security institutions to protect the lives and property of citizens, stating that no major suspect involved in such incidents has yet been arrested.
The party demanded immediate action to ensure the safety of highways, arrest those responsible for attacks and their facilitators, and end what it called the “economic destruction” of the Pashtun population.
