Quetta Placed on High Alert as Security Tightened Across City Following Threat Alert

Quetta – Security has been further tightened in Quetta after a threat alert issued by the Central Police Office (CPO) Balochistan, with authorities imposing a city-wide high alert.
According to security officials, joint snap-checking operations have been launched at all entry and exit points of the city by police and Frontier Corps (FC). Additional personnel have also been deployed at sensitive locations, major highways, and public gathering places.
Authorities said that all vehicles, motorcycles, and suspicious individuals entering or leaving the city are being thoroughly checked. Identity documents and travel details of citizens are also being verified at checkpoints to prevent any untoward incident.
Officials added that Station House Officers (SHOs) of all police stations have been directed to increase patrolling within their respective jurisdictions and establish additional checkpoints to monitor suspicious activity.
Plainclothes security personnel have also been deployed in markets, shopping centers, busy intersections, places of worship, and other public areas to enhance surveillance.
Security has been further strengthened at the Red Zone, Quetta Railway Station, Quetta Kacheri, Sessions Court, High Court, and other sensitive government installations. Walk-through gates and strict search procedures have been implemented at these sites.
Police have urged citizens to carry their original national identity cards during travel and to immediately report any suspicious person, unattended items, or unusual activity to the nearest police station or law enforcement authorities.
Officials said these measures have been taken to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property and to maintain peace and order in the city.
