Quetta Train Terror Attack Strongly Condemned, Balochistan High Court Bar Announces Court Boycott on May 25

Quetta (Qudrat Daily) — The Balochistan High Court Bar Association has strongly condemned the cowardly terrorist attack on a train in Quetta, terming it an act of open terrorism, inhumanity, and a direct challenge to the writ of the state.
In a joint condemnation statement issued by the Bar Association, it was said that the rising incidents of terrorism across the country are extremely alarming, with innocent civilians and security forces continuously being targeted.
The statement added that the attack on the train in Quetta is not only a tragic incident but also a direct challenge to peace, stability, and state institutions. Lawyers’ representatives said that terrorist elements aim to spread fear and panic by targeting innocent citizens, but the entire nation stands united against them.
The Bar Association further stated that attacks on security forces, civilians, and people from various walks of life are equivalent to attacks on the entire nation and cannot be tolerated under any circumstances.
The association announced a complete boycott of court proceedings across Balochistan on Monday, May 25, in protest against the incident. It stated that the legal fraternity would register strong protest against terrorism and would not participate in court proceedings on that day.
The statement expressed deep condolences and solidarity with the families of the martyrs and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured, while also urging the government to ensure immediate relief and the best possible medical treatment for victims.
Lawyers’ representatives demanded that federal and provincial governments, along with law enforcement agencies, immediately arrest those involved in the attack, including their facilitators and planners, and award them exemplary punishment.
They emphasized that the protection of life and property is a constitutional responsibility of the state and any negligence in this regard is unacceptable. The statement further reiterated that the legal fraternity will continue its struggle for the supremacy of law, justice, and peace in the country.
