Russia Allegedly Offered Iran Advanced “Unjammable” Drones, British Magazine Claims

A British magazine has claimed that Russia offered Iran advanced drones equipped with fiber-optic technology that could not be jammed electronically.

According to the report, the drones were designed to be used against American and allied forces in the Persian Gulf and other regions. The publication stated that the secret plan was allegedly developed by Russia’s Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU).

The report further claimed that Moscow proposed supplying Iran with 5,000 short-range drones along with an unspecified number of long-range satellite-guided systems. Similar drone technology has reportedly been used effectively by Russian forces in the war against Ukraine.

However, the magazine noted that the leaked documents did not clarify when the offer was made or whether Tehran accepted the proposal.

The report comes amid longstanding allegations that Russia has been indirectly assisting Iran in the Middle East conflict. It is widely believed that Moscow has already shared intelligence with Tehran to help target US military personnel in the region.

American media outlets have repeatedly claimed that Russia has been covertly involved in the Middle East conflict by providing Iran with sensitive intelligence for attacks on US-linked targets.
