Anti-Corruption Expands Probe into Alleged Illegal Recruitment in Balochistan Education Department, Key Figures Summoned

Quetta – Investigations into alleged illegal recruitments and violations of rules in the Balochistan Education Department have intensified, with the Anti-Corruption Establishment expanding its inquiry and summoning three key individuals.
According to official sources, those summoned include Jan Muhammad, Qazi Manzoor, and Yasin Jafar, who have been directed to appear before the anti-corruption authorities along with relevant records and explanations.
The probe was initiated following complaints of alleged irregularities in recruitment processes, including violations of merit, illegal recommendations, use of fake documents, and appointments made outside prescribed rules. Initial findings reportedly revealed multiple discrepancies, prompting authorities to accelerate the investigation.
Sources said that investigators are reviewing recruitment records, appointment orders, candidate files, interview results, and written test data to determine the extent of irregularities. Officials are also examining whether political influence or misuse of authority played any role in the hiring process.
During the inquiry, the summoned individuals will be questioned regarding recruitment procedures, approval processes, selection methods, and the role of relevant committees. Authorities have indicated that further individuals may also be called for questioning based on the findings of their statements.
The issue of alleged illegal recruitments in the Education Department has remained under discussion for some time, with various circles demanding transparent investigations. Education sector stakeholders have stated that if violations of merit are proven, it would not only damage the credibility of the department but also deprive deserving candidates of their rightful opportunities.
