Grand Operation Against Profiteers in Ramadan: 113 Arrested in Quetta, Sent to Jail

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta)** – The district administration has launched a large-scale crackdown against profiteering and overpricing during the holy month of Ramadan, arresting 113 individuals in various parts of Quetta.

According to Mehrullah Badini, Deputy Commissioner Quetta, strict action was taken against those violating price control regulations across different sub-divisions. Several shopkeepers were also fined and penalized during the operation.

Details of the actions are as follows:

* **City Sub-Division:** 41 butchers and tandoor owners were arrested.
* **Saddar Sub-Division:** Action was taken against 32 butchers and bakers.
* **Kuchlak Sub-Division:** 22 individuals were taken into custody.
* **Sariab Sub-Division:** 18 individuals were arrested.

The district administration has made it clear that profiteering and illegal overcharging during Ramadan will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Cases are being registered against violators, and those found guilty are being sent to jail.

Officials stated that such operations will continue in the coming days to ensure relief for citizens and maintain price stability in the provincial capital.
