Eating Eggs May Help Protect Against Dangerous Brain Disease, Study Finds

Islamabad (Khabar Agency) – A new study has suggested that eating eggs regularly may significantly reduce the risk of developing dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
Researchers found that whether consumed fried or boiled, eggs could play an important role in protecting brain health, particularly among older adults.
The study, conducted on nearly 40,000 people aged 65 and above, revealed that individuals who regularly consumed eggs were less likely to be diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
According to the findings, people who ate at least one egg daily for five or more days a week had a 27 percent lower risk of developing the brain disorder compared to those who never ate eggs.
The research also showed that even moderate egg consumption provided benefits. Individuals who ate eggs one to three times per month experienced a 17 percent lower risk of Alzheimer’s, while those consuming two to four eggs weekly had a 20 percent reduced risk.
Experts believe eggs contain nutrients that support brain function and may help slow cognitive decline associated with aging.
The findings add to growing scientific evidence highlighting the potential health benefits of balanced dietary habits in reducing the risk of neurodegenerative diseases.
