Pakistani Hajj Mission Returns Lost Cash Worth Over 4,000 Riyals to Pilgrim

Jeddah: The Pakistani Hajj Mission set an example of honesty by returning lost cash amounting to 4,308 Saudi Riyals to a Pakistani pilgrim during the Hajj season.
According to media reports, the amount, worth approximately Rs325,000 in Pakistani currency, was found inside an ihram belt belonging to a pilgrim identified as عثمان شاہد from Lahore.
Officials said the pilgrim had arrived in Jeddah on a Saudi Airlines flight when his belt went missing at the airport.
Rana Mujahid said the belt was discovered by Haider Ali, who was stationed at Jeddah Airport. Since there were no identification documents inside the belt, the cash and belongings were safely transferred to Makkah.
After reaching Makkah, the pilgrim filed a missing report with the mission’s Lost and Found Center. Authorities verified the claimant through the description of the belt, details of the cash amount, and other identifying information before handing over the money.
The pilgrim thanked the Pakistani Hajj Mission, the Government of Pakistan, and Saudi authorities for their cooperation, saying he had been deeply worried after losing the money.
Officials stated that the Pakistani Hajj Mission remains fully active in assisting pilgrims and resolving their issues promptly, while also advising pilgrims to take extra care of their valuables during travel.
