Saudi Arabia Suspends Multiple Umrah Companies for Housing Pilgrims Without Permits

Riyadh: The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has suspended seven Umrah travel companies for violating regulations and failing to provide promised services to pilgrims.
According to international news agencies, the suspension comes after these companies were found accommodating pilgrims in unlicensed housing, contrary to official agreements. The Ministry emphasized that such actions compromise the safety and comfort of “the guests of Allah.”
In an official statement, the Ministry stressed its ongoing efforts to monitor and ensure high-quality services for pilgrims. It confirmed that the violations were discovered during regulatory inspections and have been met with immediate legal action.
“These are serious violations that directly affect the wellbeing and security of pilgrims,” the Ministry stated, adding that penalties will be strictly enforced.
The Ministry further warned all Umrah companies and service providers to strictly adhere to government regulations and instructions, ensuring that the highest standards of hospitality and service are maintained.
