Pakistan Air Force Claims Downing of 8 Indian Aircraft in “Operation Haq,” Says Air Vice Marshal

Rawalpindi: Pakistan Air Force Deputy Chief of Air Staff (Projects) Air Vice Marshal Tariq Ghazi has stated that Pakistan shot down eight Indian aircraft during “Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos,” claiming that the score now stands at “8–0.”
Addressing a press conference alongside DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry on the completion of one year of “Operation Haq,” Air Vice Marshal Ghazi said the downed Indian aircraft included four Rafale jets, along with Su-30, MiG-29, and Mirage 2000 fighter jets.
He further claimed that a highly expensive multi-role unmanned aerial system was also destroyed during the operation.
“We shot down eight Indian aircraft in Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos and now we are at 8–0,” he said.
During the press briefing, DG ISPR Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that Pakistan was preparing for future warfare and highlighted the confidence of Pakistan Air Force pilots during operations.
He stated that pilots carried out missions without fear and added that, in his words, “the concept of life and death is secondary for those who value martyrdom.”
The DG ISPR reiterated that Pakistan had faced a much larger adversary in multi-domain warfare and claimed that the outcome was widely known, even if not acknowledged by the opposing side.
He further added that Pakistan remains fully prepared for future challenges and continues to enhance its defence capabilities in line with modern warfare requirements.
