Police Fail to Submit Strong Interim Charge Sheet in Murder Case Against Anmol Alias Pinky

Islamabad – The Sindh Police has failed to present a strong interim charge sheet in the murder case against accused drug dealer Anmol, also known as Pinky, according to court proceedings reported by Qudrat Daily.

During the hearing, the state prosecutor assigned to ensure conviction of the accused reportedly raised serious objections over the police investigation and, in effect, appeared to challenge the prosecution’s own case, highlighting major gaps in the investigation.

He stated that there was a one-month delay between the incident and the registration of the case. He further noted that police failed to establish the identity of the deceased properly, nor did they secure CCTV footage from the crime scene or surrounding areas.

The prosecutor added that such digital evidence could have been crucial in establishing links between the deceased, the accused, and alleged drug dealers.

He further criticized the investigation officer for not securing independent eyewitnesses who could have testified about whether the deceased met the accused’s associates or was involved in purchasing narcotics.

The Deputy District Public Prosecutor also stated that forensic and chemical examination reports of the deceased’s body samples are still pending, adding that the current investigation is incomplete.

He further remarked that a final charge sheet will only be submitted after the completion of the investigation and receipt of forensic reports.
