ISLAMABAD: Tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border have escalated once again as the Pakistan Army launched a strong retaliatory operation, titled “Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq,” in response to what security sources described as unprovoked aggression by Afghan Taliban and militant elements.
According to security officials, Pakistani forces carried out targeted strikes in the Chaman sector, directly engaging and destroying several defensive positions held by Afghan Taliban fighters. The operation reportedly resulted in the destruction of multiple key checkpoints.
Sources stated that the objective of the operation is to ensure peace and stability in border areas and to prevent any form of cross-border aggression.
Further details indicate that during the कार्रवाई, several Afghan positions including Sarshan, Al-Marjan, and Edhi posts were heavily damaged. Military vehicles and other installations were also reportedly destroyed, rendering them inoperable.
Security sources emphasized that Pakistan’s armed forces remain firmly committed to defending the country’s sovereignty and will continue to respond decisively to any threats. They added that both militants and their facilitators would be dealt with firmly.
The Pakistan Army has conveyed a clear message that “Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq” will continue until all designated objectives are achieved.
