Asad Qaiser Responds to Khawaja Asif on Defense Budget and Abhinandan’s Return

Islamabad: A tense moment unfolded in the National Assembly when Speaker Asad Qaiser objected to the remarks made by Defense Minister Khawaja Asif regarding his support for the defense budget and calling the return of Indian pilot Abhinandan as a “surrender.”
In response to Khawaja Asif’s stance on the defense budget, Asad Qaiser played an old video of Khawaja Asif’s speech, where he had criticized the military. Asad Qaiser interrupted, saying, “It is not appropriate to play this video; please address the matter in your speech.”
The Speaker emphasized that such videos should not be played in the National Assembly and encouraged Khawaja Asif to present his point during his speech. In response, Khawaja Asif clarified that his intention was only to present his viewpoint.
