Ahsan Iqbal Says PTI ‘Unhappy’ Over Pakistan’s Global Recognition

Narowal: Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal has said that political opponents are troubled by Pakistan’s rising international profile, claiming that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is uneasy over the country’s growing global recognition.
Addressing a ceremony, Iqbal stated that Pakistan is striving to play a constructive role in global affairs, particularly in efforts to help de-escalate tensions between the United States and Iran. He emphasized that peace between the two nations is crucial, as it is closely linked to global stability.
The minister added that Pakistan is advocating for the interests of developing nations on the international stage. He also claimed that India is uncomfortable with Pakistan receiving global recognition and respect.
Iqbal said several major countries, including the United States, China, France, and United Kingdom, have acknowledged Pakistan’s role positively.
He further noted that rising global tensions have forced the government to increase petroleum prices, linking the decision to international economic conditions.
