Islamabad Extends Red Zone Restrictions Amid Iran–US Talks Second Round

Islamabad: In view of the second round of Iran–US negotiations, the Islamabad administration has extended restrictions in the Red Zone, keeping all entry and movement suspended.
According to officials, the closure of the Red Zone, schools, and offices was initially imposed until April 21, but has now been extended for an additional day, with a further extension also possible depending on the security situation.
As part of strict security measures, all private and government offices, as well as educational institutions within the Red Zone, remain closed. Employees have been directed to work from home during this period.
The Cabinet Division has also extended the work-from-home facility for government employees, instructing them to continue working remotely on April 22 as well.
A notification further directed employees to remain within Islamabad and ensure their availability on short notice if required, stating that formal orders for physical attendance may be issued at any time.
Authorities say the measures have been taken to ensure foolproof security arrangements during the sensitive diplomatic developments in the region.
