Rain and Snowfall Predicted in Northern Regions, Cold Weather Grips Parts of Pakistan

Islamabad:The **Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD)** has forecast **rain in several cities** and **snowfall over mountainous regions** in the coming days.

According to the PMD, **rain and snowfall are expected in Gilgit-Baltistan**, while **Azad Kashmir** is likely to experience **partly cloudy weather**.

The department added that the weather in **Islamabad, Murree, Galyat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and most districts of Balochistan** will remain **cold**, whereas **Sindh** will continue to experience **hot and dry conditions**.

Light rain and hailstorms were reported in **Islamabad, Lower Dir, Kalam, Malam Jabba, Balakot, Abbottabad, and Muzaffarabad** on Monday, leading to a noticeable drop in temperatures.

Today’s **minimum temperatures** were recorded as follows:

* **Leh:** -3°C
* **Skardu:** -1°C
* **Babusar:** 1°C

The Met Office has advised citizens, particularly in hilly areas, to prepare for cold and potentially slippery conditions due to rain and snow.
