Four-Nation Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Islamabad Concludes, Focus on Middle East Ceasefire

Islamabad: A high-level four-party consultation hosted by Pakistan has concluded, bringing together foreign ministers from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, and Pakistan to address escalating tensions in the Middle East.
The meeting was attended by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty. Discussions focused on de-escalation, the prospects of a ceasefire, and resolving conflicts through diplomacy rather than force.
Ahead of the joint meeting, Ishaq Dar held bilateral talks with his Saudi, Turkish, and Egyptian counterparts, reviewing regional security, Iran’s role, and strengthening fraternal relations. All leaders emphasized dialogue and diplomatic engagement as essential to promoting regional peace, stability, and cooperation.
Diplomatic sources confirmed that Pakistan also held separate contact with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. Both sides agreed that sustained negotiations and diplomacy are the most effective paths to lasting peace. During these discussions, Pakistan strongly condemned recent United States and Israel actions against Iran, while briefing Tehran on the objectives and peace efforts of the four-nation meeting in Islamabad.
