Kuwait Intercepts Iranian Missiles and Drones, Air Defence Neutralizes Threat

Kuwait City: Rising tensions in the Middle East escalated as Kuwait’s air defence system successfully intercepted and destroyed missiles and drones launched by Iran early this morning. The attacks triggered loud explosions heard across Kuwait City, heightening regional fears of conflict.
According to reports, the Kuwait National Guard confirmed that two Iranian drones approaching sensitive security zones were destroyed mid-air by the country’s task force. Military officials clarified that the booming sounds heard across the city were the result of air defence units targeting and neutralizing the incoming threats.
Authorities assured citizens that Kuwait’s defence system is functioning effectively, and all necessary measures are being taken to safeguard the country’s borders. Citizens have been urged to remain calm, follow government-issued safety guidelines, and avoid spreading rumors.
IMF Announces Emergency Aid Review
In response to the potential economic fallout from the conflict, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has announced it will assess emergency financial aid for countries affected by the ongoing regional tensions. The decision aims to stabilize economies impacted by the escalation.
Kuwaiti officials reported no casualties or material losses from the attacks so far, but all defence agencies remain on high alert, closely monitoring border activities. Analysts warn that these attacks could push Gulf tensions to a more dangerous and unprecedented level.
