Azerbaijan Sends 82 Tons of Humanitarian Aid to Iran

Baku: Azerbaijan has dispatched an 82-ton humanitarian aid shipment to neighboring Iran, in what officials described as support for a “friendly nation.”
The aid convoy was approved by President Ilham Aliyev following recent high-level talks with his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian. The discussions focused on practical cooperation and strengthening bilateral relations.
According to officials, the shipment includes 76 tons of food and agricultural products to meet immediate needs, along with 4 tons of medicines and 2 tons of medical equipment and supplies. The aid was transported via five trucks, marking the first time such a logistical arrangement has been used for delivery.
Special festive packages and traditional items were also included in the convoy to support communities ahead of upcoming celebrations.
Despite historically complex relations between Azerbaijan and Iran, humanitarian cooperation has continued, particularly during times of need. Authorities in Baku said the latest shipment reflects a commitment to regional solidarity and serves as a gesture of goodwill toward the Iranian people.
