UAE Makes Passport Cover Page Copy Mandatory for Entry Permit Applications

Dubai: The United Arab Emirates has introduced a new requirement for individuals seeking entry permits, with authorities making it mandatory to submit a copy of the passport’s outer cover page along with applications. The rule has been implemented with immediate effect.
According to Arab media reports, an official notice clarified that all entry permit applications must now include the passport cover page. The directive was also confirmed by representatives of Amer Centers.
Previously, applicants were required to provide a copy of their passport, a clear passport-sized photograph, confirmed hotel booking, and a return air ticket. With the new rule, the passport cover page has been added to the list of mandatory documents.
Experts suggest that the requirement may have been introduced to improve verification processes and enhance the accuracy and transparency of applicants’ identification.
