58 Ballot Boxes Missing in Qalat Re-Polling; Sardarzada Mir Saeed Langu Alleges Voter Mandate Stolen

Quetta: Sardarzada Mir Saeed Ahmed Langu, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam candidate from PB-36 Qalat, held a press conference at Quetta Press Club, describing the re-polling process as a case of massive rigging.
He stated that 92 ballot boxes were required for seven polling stations based on voter records, but due to alleged collusion by election officers, only 34 boxes were delivered. He accused the rival candidate of using the missing 58 boxes to manipulate votes under the cover of night, violating the public’s right to vote. Video evidence and statements from presiding officers have been recorded as part of the official record.
Sardarzada Mir Saeed Langu said that in the February 8 elections, he had a lead of 2,294 votes. However, due to coordination between the Returning Officer (RO) and Deputy Returning Officer (DRO), the rival candidate was issued Form 47. When the Election Commission ordered re-polling at seven stations on March 10, 2026, he alleged further conspiracies occurred, as lists of presiding officers were not shared with him, and the staff comprised relatives of the opponent.
He also alleged that on polling day, agents of the opposition were absent, and presiding officers confirmed in writing that only 34 ballot boxes were provided. Additionally, he claimed he was delayed for two hours at an FC checkpoint and threatened by armed men.
Sardarzada Mir Saeed Langu termed the entire process a deep-rooted conspiracy and announced his intention to approach the Election Commission and courts to seek justice for the stolen mandate of Qalat’s voters.
