Quetta Launches School Enrollment Drive Targeting 34,000 Children, 700 Teachers Assigned, 70% Inactive Schools Reopened: DC Mehrullah Badini

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) – Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Mehrullah Badini, announced the launch of a major school enrollment campaign in the district, aiming to enroll 34,000 children in schools this year.
Speaking at a press conference, DC Badini stated that Quetta currently has 679 schools with approximately 172,000 students enrolled. The initiative seeks to attract more children to education and equip them with knowledge, contributing to the development of Balochistan and Pakistan.
He highlighted that over the past few months, more than 700 teachers have been hired on a contract basis to strengthen the teaching process and improve the quality of education in schools.
DC Badini further revealed that 70% of previously inactive schools in the district have been reopened, with measures underway to reactivate the remaining institutions. Parents were urged to enroll their children and support the campaign to ensure every child receives the benefits of education.
In addition, a meal program has been launched in schools to boost student attendance and provide convenience to parents. District Education Officer Nasir Shah emphasized that the district administration aims to make Quetta a role model for education and called on teachers, parents, and society at large to actively participate in the enrollment campaign
