Governor Mandokhail Urges Expanded China Collaboration to Boost Technical Education Opportunities for Balochistan Youth

Islamabad (Daily Qudrat) — Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has emphasized the urgent need to modernize and strengthen the infrastructure of technical and vocational education in Balochistan, calling for enhanced collaboration with China to create greater opportunities for the province’s youth.
He expressed these views during a meeting with officials of TANG International Education Pakistan, including CEO Song Jingyong and Country Director Mansoor Siddiqui, in Islamabad. Representatives of China Global Professional and Technical Education Group were also present.
The Governor urged the organization to increase Balochistan’s share in ongoing skill development programs that send Pakistani students to China for advanced training. He stressed that aligning investments with local socio-economic needs and enhancing youth capacity would significantly improve living standards in the province.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring that technical education becomes a driving force for economic growth at both provincial and national levels. Mandokhail also formally invited officials from Chinese technical education institutions and National University of Technology (NUTECH) Islamabad to visit Quetta, assuring full cooperation from the provincial government.

Later, the Governor visited NUTECH, where he was warmly received and given a detailed briefing on the institution’s performance. He toured various departments, classrooms, and laboratories.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that equipping the younger generation with modern, market-relevant skills would help shape Pakistan’s economic future. He added that from Islamabad to the remote districts of Balochistan, a new sense of hope and economic empowerment is emerging.
Mandokhail highlighted the importance of combining education with practical skills, noting that in today’s rapidly evolving market, skills are not only a personal advantage but an economic necessity. He reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that every young person is not only educated but also professionally skilled, opening new avenues for employment and development.
