Case Registered Against Gang Selling Kidneys to Foreigners, Victim Abducted in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: A case has been registered against a gang involved in illegal kidney transplants and selling kidneys to foreigners after they allegedly abducted a citizen.

According to reports, the case includes provisions under Section 109 as well as sections 10, 11, and 12 of the Punjab Human Organ Transplant Act, added on the recommendation of the Punjab Human Organ Transplant Authority.

Police have arrested two suspects, nurse Firdous Khalid and Sohail Shamim, and completed their initial interrogation. Nurse Firdous Khalid has been sent to jail on judicial remand, while Sohail Shamim is under physical remand as investigations continue.

The abducted victim, Arsalan, has also recorded his statement under Section 164 of the law in court, confirming the entire incident.

Police are conducting raids to arrest other named suspects including Haji Shehzad, Dr. Farooq, Nawab Khan, and Ali Khan. Five more unidentified individuals have also been named in the case.
