Rain Threat Eases Ahead of Pakistan-India Clash in T20 World Cup 2026

The likelihood of rain during the much-anticipated Pakistan-India encounter in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup has decreased, raising hopes that fans will witness a full and uninterrupted match.
The blockbuster contest between arch-rivals Pakistan national cricket team and India national cricket team is set to take place today at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Earlier, rain had been forecast at various intervals throughout the day. However, updated weather reports indicate that the chances of rainfall in Colombo are gradually decreasing. According to Sri Lanka’s Department of Meteorology, cloudy conditions are expected, but there is no significant risk of heavy rain during match hours.
Cricket fans remain optimistic about enjoying an exciting contest on Sunday.
Speaking at a press conference a day earlier, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha said that while the weather is beyond the team’s control, they are prepared for any scenario. “Rain is not in our hands, but if the overs are reduced, we have planned for that as well,” he remarked.
