Law Minister Aqeel Malik Flags ‘Contradictions’ in PTI Founder’s Medical Report

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Law **Barrister Aqeel Malik** has said there are significant contradictions in the timeline of the eye condition mentioned in the court-appointed assistant’s report regarding the founder of PTI.
Speaking on the matter, he stated that without written orders from the **Supreme Court of Pakistan**, the government cannot constitute a medical board that includes private hospital doctors or personal physicians for a medical examination.
He added that the government can only form a medical board comprising doctors from public hospitals, and alleged that even such a board would become a subject of political controversy by the **Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)**.
It is worth recalling that the Supreme Court had directed that PTI founder **Imran Khan** be granted access to eye specialists and be provided telephone facilities to contact his children.
Meanwhile, Opposition Leader **Mahmood Khan Achakzai** said he had written a letter to the Prime Minister, in his capacity as opposition leader, proposing three doctors’ names for examination, but no action was taken on the matter.
