Section 144 Imposed in Balochistan to Ensure Public Safety and Restore Law and Order

Quetta:The Balochistan government has imposed Section 144 across the province to improve law and order and ensure public safety. The decision, under the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) of 1898, bans the assembly of five or more people in public areas.

The government stated that these measures were essential to address the deteriorating security situation and to protect the lives of citizens. The restrictions aim to prevent the display and use of weapons, as well as to stop protests, rallies, and public gatherings.

The imposed restrictions are valid for 15 days, and the provincial authorities have emphasized the importance of cooperation from the public to restore peace and order.
